An Extraordinary Change of Plans
On May 16th we celebrated our wedding anniversary and I was reading Proverbs 16 (Proverbs has 1 chapter for each day of the month- it’s a great instruction manual for life and worth reading daily!) and it struck a chord of
a great conversation Eric and I had over dinner, of how our lives took a turn from our original plan and somehow became extraordinary!

Proverbs 16:1 – “The plans of the heart belong to man, but the answer of the tongue is from the Lord.” 16:9 – “The heart of man plans his way, but the Lord establishes his steps.”
I’m thankful to all our family and friends who have walked this journey with us and encouraged us along the way! I’m thankful for our daughter and her beloved husband who bless us and give us a happy heart! My heart overflows today with joy!
I should add, my life is not glorious and perfect. That isn’t what I’m saying. In fact, I have faced hard times, terrible moments, tragedy, horror and fear. I’ve also made bad decisions and mistakes. However, having given all that to the Lord to work His way has led to a life I couldn’t have planned better for or by myself. If we let Him, He uses even our worst moments for good. I witnessed this in my own life and I’ve seen it happen many times with my friends and family. It isn’t always easy, nor is it always happy, but God can and will turn it around for His glory when we give it up to Him.
